Discogenic Back Pain
Discogenic back pain is pain specifically originating from the intervertebral disc, one of the joints located between each vertebra in your spine. Discogenic pain is most commonly the result of disc degeneration or tears in the outer fibers of the disc, annulus fibrosis.
Symptomatic discogenic back pain is usually identified by low back pain, and sometimes pain in the buttock and upper thigh. It can also be recognized by intolerance for extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending forward, etc.
